We keep things simple: we collect usage data to understand how ejarat is used and to improve it. We never sell your data, and analytics events never contain your phone number, your name, or anything you type.

Who holds your data

ejarat is operated by Mo Elsifi, who is responsible for the data described here. Questions, corrections and deletion requests all reach the same inbox at [email protected].

What we collect

• Your phone number, which is how you sign in and how renters reach you. It appears on listings you publish.
• Your name and whether your account is individual or business, if you provide them.
• The listings you post, including photos, price, and location.
• On the website only, and only if you allow it, your device's position — used once to drop the map pin while you're posting a listing. The pin you publish is saved; your position is not, and no location history is kept. The mobile apps never ask for it.
• Usage and crash data, described below — linked to your account while you are signed in.

How we use it

To run the service: show your listings, let renters contact you, keep you signed in, and prevent abuse. We never sell your data.

Analytics

We use two analytics services: Google Analytics (via Firebase) and PostHog (hosted in the EU). They record pages and screens viewed, searches run, listings opened, and where a visit stops. On the website, PostHog can also replay a visit — where you clicked and scrolled — with everything you type masked before it leaves your browser; the app records no replays. While you are signed in, this activity is linked to your account by an internal ID, never by your phone number, so one journey can be followed across the website and the app. You can turn all of this off for this device below; your choice is remembered here.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your listings come down immediately and everything is permanently erased after 30 days.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and all its data from the Account screen in the app, or on the web. No email required.
